New Role Reinforces Northstar’s Commitment to Continued Global Expansion of Media & Events Brands
RUTHERFORD, NJ — Northstar Travel Group, a leading provider of media, events, and data solutions for the travel industry, announces the promotion of David Blansfield to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, International & Meetings. In this new role, Blansfield will lead Northstar's international strategy and execution, reinforcing the company's ongoing commitment to growing its presence in key global markets and expanding its influential event portfolio. In addition to his new responsibilities, Blansfield will continue to lead Northstar Meetings Group, guiding its strategic direction and growth.

Northstar’s growth in international markets has been driven by acquisitions and organic launches. In April 2025, Northstar will bring the Business Travel Show to Singapore for the first time, building on the successful launch of the Meetings Show in 2024. These initiatives are part of Northstar’s broader strategy to grow existing brands, extend them into new markets, launch new brands, and explore potential acquisitions to support its global vision.
Since joining Northstar ten years ago, Blansfield has played a pivotal role in transforming the company’s Meetings business. His leadership in launching new events, overseeing acquisitions, and developing innovative digital media products has positioned Northstar as a category leader in the meetings and events space. Blansfield's proven ability to connect with international audiences and drive business growth will be instrumental in accelerating the company’s global efforts.
