Role Overview
?
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager for a maternity leave cover contract from August 2025 through April 2026. This role will support the ongoing growth of the TravelTech Show, with responsibilities across exhibition and sponsorship sales. The successful candidate will manage a broad client portfolio, execute sales strategy, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a best-in-class event. You will also ensure continuity and measurable results during this critical contract period.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Growth
?
- Drive sales by acquiring new business and reactivating or expanding existing client accounts
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, lead qualification, consultative selling, proposal development, and account conversion
- Maintain a healthy, up-to-date sales pipeline with accurate forecasting within CRM
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts on a weekly basis
- Create customised, cross-platform packages that span exhibitions, sponsorships, digital media, and other products within the Phocuswright product suite.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and key agency contacts
- Create sponsor packages that align client objectives with event offerings to maximise impact and ROI
- Leverage internal systems and tools to generate leads and new business
- Support client retention through exceptional relationship management and customer service

Event & Product Strategy

- Contribute to the development and execution of event features, formats, and campaigns
- Maintain accurate floorplans, ensuring optimal space use and proactive communication of changes
- Support exhibitor and visitor marketing initiatives as needed
- Help ensure seamless delivery of event, with a focus on client experience and satisfaction
- Delivery of a strategically designed, well-executed exhibition floor plan

Collaboration & Market Insights

- Provide market intelligence and client feedback to inform strategy and product development
- Collaborate closely with internal teams across marketing, content, sales, and operations
- Work with the Event Director and stakeholders to align the event with exhibitor and visitor needs
- Partner with the marketing team to support promotional and channel strategies

What We’re Looking For
?
- A successful background in B2B sales, particularly within exhibitions, events, and sponsorships ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
- A consultative sales approach, with the ability to design client-centric commercial solutions
- Adept at post sale customer care and exhibitor onboarding
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, especially with senior stakeholders
- A sound understanding of the travel technology landscape and its evolving needs
- Comfortable representing the brand at industry events and in high-level discussions
- Organised and results-driven, able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite) to manage and track client engagement
- Familiarity with operations, visitor acquisition, marketing
